30A Eating & Drink Guide
Where to Eat on 30A (Couples Date Night to Family Friendly)
There are many spots to dine on the strip of 30A, from fancy-fine to casual restaurants, bars, and food trucks. Guests of Seagrove Beach can walk to a few restaurants. This is your hearty 30A Eating and Drink Guide with some of my personal favorites!
I’m listing my personal faves of gourmet dining from a grabbing rich-smooth coffee to everything in between! It’s all right here folks! Even a few choices, and fine dining for a great night out along Florida’s Scenic Highway.
Our 30A selected breakfast-to-dinner restaurants to grab grub!
COMFORTING LOVELY BRUNCH LUNCH SPOTS
30A is a remarkable place, one that defines a new kind of culinary lifestyle. All of the restaurants are locally owned and operated. There are no chains, so, of course, everything is special. The owners pay more attention to the details and their customers. Dining in Rosemary, Seaside, Seagrove, Grayton, and the like, is an entertaining experience. It is home to a wide variety of restaurants, cafes, and eateries that offer a diverse range of culinary options.
BLACK BEAR CO.
This all-day café offers pastry cases full of homemade baked goods for breakfast and beyond and a full menu. Visit its two locations, Seaside and Grayton Beach, with an attached bar room to grab a happy hour drink and snacks.
GREAT SOUTHERN CAFE OF SEASIDE
Beignets and mimosas? Yes, please! I love sitting outside at this Seaside spot to people-watch. I think my favorite brunch choice is The Fried Green Tomato Benedict. This cafe is the go-to Southern breakfast plate and its located in Seaside. Serving up one of the most popular breakfasts on 30A. It’s also open for lunch and dinner, but pencil in time for the often-long waitlist.
THE PERFECT PIG OF SEAGROVE BEACH
An all-day eatery with Southern-meets-French fare, this diner is known for its sandwiches that make for a “perfect” post-beach meal, hearty salads, and brunch dishes like quiche. It has three locations along 30A that you can visit depending on where you’re staying. My kids’ favorite spot to grab breakfast, especially the infamous light and fluffy Dutch Baby with blueberries!!
THE AIRSTREAMS/FOOD TRUCKS OF SEASIDE
A collection of unique, very family-friendly airstream food concepts, this area is smack-dab on the main 30A drag in Seaside and you’ll have to pay to park, but Seaside is worth the visit! Frost Bites for Hawaiian shaved ice, Barefoot BBQ for smoked meats and sides, The Meltdown for grilled cheeses, or Wild Bill’s Beach Dogs for a quick lunch bratwurst with all the toppings.
BUD & ALLY’S OF SEASIDE (WATERVIEW GULF FRONT)
It’s easy to recognize this iconic dinner restaurant, which has arguably the best view of the sunset and the Seaside Obelisk. You can make reservations for the downstairs portion of the restaurant, but the upstairs deck is first-come-first-serve (and offers the prettiest view). Make sure to try Bud’s legendary crab cakes! It is also open for lunch.
GEORGE’S OF ROSEMARY BEACH
Perhaps the winner for a most charming restaurant on 30A, George’s is housed in a shingled cottage with a breezy wraparound porch, outdoor courtyard seating, and a rooftop cocktail deck. It’s imperative to arrive early to put your name down since it does not take reservations. Enjoy a Southern-with-a-twist menu.
TAPAS & CHOCOLATE
This cozy nook in Rosemary Beach is named “La Crema”, but we know it as Tapas & Chocolate, and it’s dedicated entirely to Spanish-style tapas and chocolate.
- Date Night Restaurant! Yes, chocolate. It’s perfect for dropping in after dinner for a nightcap and its famous chocolate fondue, amongst other desserts and confections. You can even order sipping chocolate with various add-ons and customizations.
THE RED BAR OF GRAYTON BEACH
For many, it’s not a trip to 30A without visiting this iconic restaurant and lounge in Grayton Beach. The no-frills, mood-lit space suffered from a devastating fire in 2019 but reopened with the same energy and style as the original building. I catch live music here almost every day of the week during the high season.
PESCADO
If you’re looking for beautiful views, this rooftop restaurant and bar is the place to post up for the characteristic pastel swirls of a 30A sunset. Located in Rosemary Beach, it is ideal for groups who want to try different things, as many dishes, such as seafood paella, are shareable. The bar is open before dinner service for cocktails only, and there’s also a weekend brunch.
- Date Night Restaurant! This swanky rooftop restaurant offers amazing views of Rosemary Beach and the Gulf but also has a fantastic menu with offerings you won’t find anywhere else. With crafted cocktails, a raw bar, and seafood-focused items, it’s a great spot for a chic dinner out or a place to linger for sunset and a glass of rosé. I loved the seafood salad with a tasty dressing!
CAFE 30A (CAFE THIRTY A OF SEAGROVE BEACH)
This is my hands down absolute favorite spot along the Seagrove Beach strip! Known for its martinis and creative dishes, this Seagrove staple is one you should add to any 30A dining bucket list.
- Date Night Restaurant! It’s a definite treat to come here as a family or a couple’s night out. The interior of Cafe 30A is clean, and crisp white, and the staff is just about the friendliest you’ll encounter when dining in this area.
While summer is always the most active, my favorite events happen outside of peak season. 30A Songwriters Festival (January), Digital Graffiti (May), Fourth of July celebration (July), Uncorked (November), holiday kick-off festivities (November) and Christmas to New Year’s celebrations (December).
